Ferreries

   

Located in the central area of the island, between Ciutadella and Mercadal, Ferreries is a nice small town of great industrial and commercial activity. In their municipal term they are some of the best beaches in the island, like Cala Galdana, and in their industrial polygon, to the one you arrive from the general highway Maó-Ciutadella, there are footwear and leather factories that export their products to all the world. It celebrates their fiestas San Bartolomé's day (August 24), and the jaleo of Ferreries is one of the most spectacular of the island because takes place in the sheer hills of the old villa.
