Punta Prima, formerly known as Sandy Bay (during the British occupation of the island), is a wide beach on the south east of Menorca, in front of it you will see the island called “Illa del Aire”. In there inhabits the endemic lizard “Podarcis lifordii melanica”, a subspecies that is characterized by dark pigmentation of the skin and its curious role in the pollination of plants in the island. The beach has white sand and clean water, the winds affecting  are the second quadrant. There are all kinds of services, and at the urbanization built around are found many hotels apartments, restaurants and bars of all kinds.
